Reach out to us through our contact form. A member of our team will respond within 1-2 business days. We will ask you to provide clear photos of the items you would like to consign. For clients in the GTA, we can also arrange an in-person meeting to review and provide a quote. Please limit submissions to a maximum of 15 items per quote.

A consignment quote is the price at which we will list your item for sale. Once the item sells, you will receive the sale price less our commission.

A buyout quote is for clients who prefer an immediate payout. We will purchase the item outright without waiting for it to sell.

Quotes are provided in CAD or USD depending on your location and are valid for 30 days.

If you accept our consignment or buyout offer, we will proceed with authentication and marketing. Consigned items must remain with Velvet Estate for a minimum of 12 months.

After 6 months, items may be discounted at our discretion to encourage a sale. If you prefer to opt out of discounting, please notify us in advance.

If you request your item back before the 12-month period ends, an early withdrawal fee of $100 will apply to cover authentication and marketing costs.

Consignors assume all risk when shipping items to Velvet Estate. We are not liable for any damage, loss, or delays incurred during shipment.

Once your items are received, we will inspect them for authenticity, condition, and inclusions as described. Velvet Estate reserves the right to adjust quotes if the item's condition, details, or accessories differ from your submission.

By consigning with Velvet Estate, you agree that if any items are determined to be non-authentic, a $200 fee per item will apply in order for the item to be returned. This fee covers processing, authentication, and shipping costs.

After 12 months, if your item has not sold, you may request item(s) to be returned (shipping costs apply, or pick-up can be arranged in the GTA)
